I'm headed to NYC next week on business an will have about a day to play.  What should I do?  It's been about ten years since I've been there? I would like to see a bit of uniqueness in style, fashion or decor.  And food too.  Surely I won't have any trouble, right?

Do you have any suggestions?

If you like Italian food, I can recommend a wonderful restaurant in Morningside Heights: Pisticci, La Salle St and Broadway (125 St station on the 1 line). They serve no pizza, and everything on the menu is delicious. The place is half underground, and the decor is a creative mismatch of rustic and repurposed pieces.

Go on the double decker red buses that tour you around! You can see so much without having to drive and take expensive taxi's everywhere. Visit ground zero - and give your respects, and take pictures everywere you go!

The ABC Carpet and Home store in Manhattan is always fun.
