Do you know what this is?
This is what I like to call a 'flappy' thing that lets the ventilation work. Yes, and these I believe are 'Realtor' terms.
The other day, Casey was mowing the lawn and looking up at this 'flappy' thing and realized that it was all muddy. Hmm... he thought... why would it be all muddy.?.?.
Just then, a bird flew out of this 'flappy' thing! Yes, a bird. This ‘flappy’ thing is connected to the ventilation fan in our main bathroom.
When he told me this story, I thought hmm... is that why the bathroom stinks... because the bird is building a nest.?.
Why yes, the momma bird decided to build a nest. So I turned the fan on. Chirp, chirp. Is that what I think it is? I know she didn’t!!!! Did she really have babies in our house????? No wonder why it smells like something up and died in the bathroom. It wasn't the toilet water... it was the dang birds!
We figured this all out over the weekend and the builder isn't able to help us with the problem until normal business hours. (We love builders!) Okay, so we decide to leave the ventilation fan on because it seems to help with the smell. When we get back from church on Sunday, I open the bathroom door to make sure it hasn't been taken over by rabbits or something (who knows what else can get in!) The fan isn't working. So I check things out and see a couple little feathers sticking out of the fan and some other things. I will spare you the gory details.... I go tell Casey that one of the birds got stuck in the fan. Bye Bye Birdie! May you rest in peace. (That's what you get for coming into my house!!!!!!!)

Oh my, love being a homeowner dontcha? Ours is hooked up to our dryer, they would have an awful fun ride in there huh?
That is just nasty! Mckenzie needs to see your dog. She is having doggie withdraws.
Wendy-
We also have one for the dryer... hopefully no birds get in there. I thought it stunk bad enough, but to add heat to that smell. No thanks!
Hollie-
