Slinky Valentines with Printable

Here are some fun, easy and candy-free DIY Valentines for your kiddos to pass out at school.  I found these slinkys at Target (sold in the seasonal area with 12 per bag).

My good friend and talented illustrator/designer, Anthony Pafford designed the You Make Me Hoppy downloadable pdf for all of you to use.  All you have to do is trim it to 5"x4" and fold it in half.  Then staple it on top of a 5"x6" cello bag.

Getting Organized-Start with a List

Yep, it's that time of year!  Time to organize!  I'm completely a list person-I find that it's easiest to organize my thoughts and to do's when they are all listed right in front of me.  Before you dig into all the boxes and piles sitting around (I know I've got plenty) take time to organize what needs to be done in each room.  The office might need drawers cleaned out while the closet might need all sheets and towels sorted by size, etc.  Some rooms might have the same things on them...i.e.  clean ceiling fans, dust base boards, remove dust bunnies, etc.  Once you have each room done with its own list you can create a master list with things that are consistent from room to room.  That will give you a great starting point to start checking things off of your list.  From there move room to room and just go down the list!  You'll feel great when you get to check something off of your list and your house will get organized in the process!  To make things easier I made a little printout just for you!

P.S.  Start saving your tin can lids from the recycle bin in the kitchen!  I've got a great little project coming up and you'll want to already have some on hand to make your own as soon as I've got the tutorial posted!

Downloadable Space Planner

Today I've got a treat for you!  We've created a free space plan download so that you can design and rearrange your own space.  It's simple to do and can even be reused!

You'll need Acrobat Reader to open and print it.

Instructions:

Print all sheets on white cardstock and laminate the grid sheet.  After you've laminated it you're ready to go.  Cut out the furniture pieces, doors, and windows that you need.

Use a dry erase marker to outline your room, remember that each square is 6" so each 1 foot piece of wall will take up 2 squares, got it?  When you need to do another room, just erase and layout your next space!  Yea! What do you think?  Will you use it?  Let us know if there's any pieces that you've just got to have and we'll see about adding in another add-on download.
