Monday Redesign: Living Room

Hello everyone! I hope you're ready for a fun-filled holiday week! We are loving the snow on the ground here in the Midwest and are excited to spend the holidays with family and loved ones. Here's a mood board of a fun living room for this Monday's redesign.

Living Room Redesign Dec 2009I really like this mood board a lot, if I do say so myself.  I'm trying to convince my husband that we need to start all over in the living room and turn it into something like this.  Of course, he just looks at me-- he's realize by now that I say this about every six months.  It's the joy of living with someone creative, right?  I always have to be changing my surroundings.

Here's a break down of the goodies:

  1. This sofa is perfect for this room.  Simple and modern and light.  I love it!  I have placed some accent pillows on the couch to bring in the other colors of the room.  {Don't you just love this mix of reds and blues?!}.  You can find the pillows here, here and here.

  2. These Neo Bunching Cubes work perfectly for end tables and open storage.  I imagine a stack of books, or magazines housed in them.  They are so open, yet sturdy.

  3. Don't you just love the natural feel of this coffee table?  I think it's beautiful!  It provides a little texture in the room and compliments everything very well.

  4. This rug is gorgeous, no?  It's made by Madeline Weinrib Atelier.  She has such a great collection of rugs... I could take one of each, really.

  5. This little birdie vase is a perfect accent for one of the bunching cubes.

  6. This print would be perfect placed above the sofa, or above the little birdie vase if you had a window above your sofa.  It's a cheery motto to have posted in a place where everyone can see it.

  7. I absolutely love this lamp.  It's classy and fun all at the same time.

I hope you enjoyed this living room mood board.  Don't forget to enter the It's Complicated giveaway-- it ends today!
