Miniature Moss Garden

Gardening isn't just for the outdoors!  There are many ways to incorporate fresh garden arrangements inside.  Try growing a mini moss garden!

To grow your own moss:

Take a clump of healthy moss and crumble it into your blender.  (If you don't have it in your yard then it's easy to find at a park.  Moss will grow in shady areas under trees and bushes.  You won't need a lot to grow your own.)
Add 2 cups of buttermilk and 2 cups of water
Blend at the lowest speed until it is completely mixed and the consistency of a thin milk shake.  Add water if necessary.
Paint the mixture onto rocks, pots or statuary, or simply pour it on the ground wherever you'd like your moss to grow!

There's no reason to ruin a perfectly good blender. Just take the same recipe, but put it in a baggie or a bowl and mush it up with your fingers or a fork.
