Living in a small town definitely has its pros and cons. I love the fact that there are people (forever-dwellers) that have lived here for fifty years++ and know just about everything the town has to offer, including its people. Although I don't like the fact that when we first moved here, the town or should I say forever-dwellers were in a panic that the town was growing too much. There have been a couple new developments that have gone up and forever-dwellers don't like seeing their town of 2,500 go to 3,500 and up.
I love it that the town is so small that you can walk pretty much anywhere. Sometimes though to get to the edge of town you run out of sidewalk. That and it means that we don't have a lot of stores or places to go.
That all changed these last few weeks. We now have a craft store. I went there the other day thinking it would be some podunk store with construction paper and fancy scissors. But when I walked in, it was like a paper lovers dream. Aisles upon aisles of paper... almost Utah style. Have you ever been to a craft store in Utah? They have endless amounts of paper and this store is not quite there, but pretty darn close. And that makes me happy. It beats Michaels & Hobby Lobby hands down. And it gets better...
They have a workshop area in the back & you can pay $1/hour to use their die cuts and tools. One dollar!! Do you know how many die cuts I can make in an hour? And their prices are pretty good... $.50 for regular 12x12 paper & a little bit more for speciality paper.
And speaking of paper, you may have noticed my new side bar. This week, I opened my etsy shop. It's still a work in progress, but I'm getting there.
Have a great weekend!!

I heart your shop!
Isn't it funny how scrapping stores are everywhere!! We are a town of 1000 with a lot of empty buildings, but we have a Scrapbook store. Gotta love it-and I don't even scrap.
I love small towns- they have the best little shops!
