Table Settings 101

Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner?  Seriously, where does the time go?!  Are you preparing to have friends and/or family over for the holidays?  Does your head start to spin when you are try to remember where the salad fork and soup spoon are supposed to be placed on the dinner table?  Here is a great place setting guide that I know will come in handy at these times.

Study it hard.  There will be a test later.

Just kidding.  You all probably know the answers already.

Setting a theme for your table will really set the mood for your guests.  The best table settings are often simple.  Start with a theme and branch out from there.  {i.e. trees- use natural colored linens with white plates and use fallen branches and leaves as table decorations.}  Here are some great inspirations I found for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Deb,

Thank you, Thank you for this post! I'm almost embarrased to say that I've never set a table setting! but learning things like this is what these blog are about right?! With the recent purchase of our first home, my husband and I are hoping to have friends and famil gather at our place soon for nice meal and it'll give me an opportunity to wow them with a nice table setting (now that I know what goes where). Thanks to you and this wonderful post, I'll be more than ready!
