Sponsored Post: Feeding a 12 month old

Thanks to Plum Organics for sponsoring my post about tips for baby feeding magic. What if you let baby choose what's for dinner? Check out their cute "Quest for Yum!" video and see what happens!

Porter loves food.  Can you tell?

He loves most foods, but his favorite are those he can feed himself.  The current front runners are Gogurt and Raisins.  And the thing I love about them?  Little mess.

And with the recent influx of Halloween candy in our home, he has decided to walk like crazy to dad when he's eating some.  It's been great motivation, apparently!

I know Porter will be more opinionated about food as he gets older.  With Caden, I've decided not to fight the "food battle."  By "food battle" I mean I don't want to spend the entire evening at the dinner table frustrated that my child won't take three more bites.  I provide healthy snacks and good meals in hopes that Caden will eat them.  But I never force food upon him.  If he's not hungry, I offer a little encouragement, but generally I don't worry about it (unless it goes on for a few days-- which it has at times).  He always eventually gets hungry and gobbles what I've put in front of him. It's worked well so I plan on doing the same with Porter.

What do you like to feed your children? Do you fight the "food battle?"

Here's a little commercial video about Plum Organics and the creative mixes of flavors they have for children.  I love their packaging and how children can feel independent while feeding themselves.
