For my neighbor's goodie bag, I homemade chocolate chip cookies. I like chewy, soft cookies so I can't use traditional cooling racks. Otherwise the cookies come out looking like they've been run over by a train. So I like to use a little trick my mom taught me.
1. Take a paper bag.
2. Cut out the bottom.
3. Lay flat.
Wait for your cookies to bake and viola!
I don't know if I'd recommend this step, but go outside and play while the cookies continue cooling. You might come back inside to find that your dog ate ALL 24 cookies that were left on the counter. (JJJJJOOOOOOONNNNNNZZZZZYYYYY!!!)
