Green Onions Grow Again and Again

{Loaded Baked Potato Soup}

Did you know that green onions keep on giving and giving and giving?

I didn't either.

Not until my friend, Courtney shared it on her blog.

So then I had to try it for myself.  To pretend I was a scientist or something just for a minute.

All you do is soak them in a little water, and they grow.  It's amazing!

Here they are about 3 days after I cut them.

And here they are about a week and a half after being soaked in water.

You can do this about 3-4 times before they need to be pitched. It's so nice to have fresh green onions all the time.  Especially during the winter.  I love garnishing many soups with green onion.

I am so glad you told me about this!!! I love having green onions, but I hardly ever can keep them fresh long enough, and it gets expensive to buy them every week!

Yay!
