Bon Voyage

Tomorrow we are leaving on what will be Caden's first vacation. We are headed out to Utah for a family reunion and are so excited to see everyone. We plan to leave at 4 am and hopefully be to SLC by 6pm. We will stop there for dinner with Casey's grandparents. Then we will continue on to Ephraim. Hopefully we will be there by 9 or 10. Right now I'm thinking we are a little nuts for trying to do this in all one day. Please tell me it will be okay.... and if you have any advice, I would love to hear it.

He is soooo cute! I'm so sad that you guys are going to Utah while we're not there. Hopefully we'll call and talk to you all while you're there. Good luck on the drive!

Travel advice - with Hailey and Katie, I liked to use different toys anc activities at different times. I kept feeding times the same, and I made sure I didn't change my schedule much either. The car ride is going to be the hardest (even I don't like sitting in a car that long) but try to take your breaks from driving when he is awake. Finally - it will be fine!

He's at a good age to do this. We drove from Indiana to Utah with Caleb when he was this little (2 day trip) and it wasn't that big of a deal. Although, now that it is 5 years later I might be forgetting what it was *really* like.

Have a great trip!

It's not too bad..i dont know about with a baby though, but we drove to Utah in one day (Provo) but went through SLC when we got to Utah. And we even got stuff in constant snow storms, got interstate gates closed on us, etc. and we made it in 22 hours instead of 16, have a GREAT trip!

If you have to stop every 2 hours.... well, that's normal with a wee little one. I'm sure you'll figure out a rhythm though. Be safe, and enjoy the journey along the way ;)

I did it with Savannah at 6 weeks. We did it all in one day. It can be done with a small child. Have fun!!!
