We had such a great 4th of July this year... it seems like every year out does the last. And the Waverly parade was no exception. This year was the best yet as it was filled with lots of fire trucks, tractors and llamas and ponies. It was great! (And the weather was the best I think it has ever been on July 4th in Nebraska!!)Here's Caden waiting with Papa and Grandma for the parade to start. Dad dressed him in this cute festive outfit.
Aren't these little wagons cute?
And of course the train. Caden will love this when he's older... they give free rides in the parking lot before the parade starts. How cool, huh?
Here is the view of the fire work show from our house. Comfortable and cozy and AWESOME!!
I didn't get a shot of the most intense show of the night. We were just about to finish lighting off all of our own fireworks as Casey starts sprinting towards the neighbors house. We just thought he was goofing off (as he tends to do sometimes!) ;) We look up and see that our neighbors trash can is engulfed in flames as it is sitting up against the house and close to starting the house on fire. Casey pulls the burning can from the house as my brother-in-law Corey is running around the house to find a hose and my dad is kicking away little fires from the house. It was a little scary and I'm glad that we were up so late. If Casey was even a minute later I'm afraid it would have been too late. It's no wonder the local firehouse wanted Casey to come on board... I think he's a natural.
Here is a picture of the trash can that I took. It all for you, all for you my fellow bloggers.

That trashcan story sounds eerily familiar! Its very similar to our house fire a few years ago!
