We are moving really slow today. Not only because of the time change, but no one wanted to sleep last night. As I was sitting there trying to calm Caden, I was reminded of all the sleep overs I used to have with my friends growing up and how we would stock our systems with Mtn. Dew and stay up all night for no reason what so ever. And as we got older, the Mtn. Dew was not enough so we started sneaking out of the house.
In junior high, we would sneak out to t.p. people's houses and ironically they were usually boys we had a crush on. And because I attended one of the oldest jr. high's in the city, it was surrounded by old houses with massive trees. It was always so fun seeing how high we could throw the t.p. We would also decorate the lawn in some sort of fashion... usually involving ketchup & some feminine products. Tasteful, I know. I now feel really bad for the parents who had to (probably) help clean up the mess.
Then, when that wasn't enough, I always had a daring friend ready to push it to the next level. She decided it would be a good idea to take her parents car for a ride to a local taco joint, at the age of 14. She really needed a taco I guess. I remember we waited until about 2 in the morning and had to strategically maneuver throughout the house to avoid stepping on the creaky parts of the floor. We then made it to the garage and manually opened the garage door. We put the car in neutral and backed it down the drive way. Man, what we would do for a little joy ride and taco! When we got to taco place, we didn't have any money. Thankfully, there was a bunch of change in the cup holder.
My parents lived in the middle of nowhere and never did we sneak out of my house because there was simply nowhere to go (and I wasn't about to take a car out.. I was too chicken and innocent to do such a thing). We also never were t.p.ed and considering all the hands I had in t.p.ing other people, I think this is probably also because we lived in the middle of nowhere.
(Note to self.... If possible, live in the boonies when teenagers are in the home.)
Now onto my next point... is there really a need for the time change anymore? Farmers shouldn't need it with all the improved technology. What is the reason for having it these days? Tradition, habit? (Note to self... If possible, live in Arizona or Hawaii so I don't have to deal with this anymore).

T.ping is always so MUCH fun! I am finding that it is getting easier each day without my brother! we got our first letter from him today! his MTC champion is from Canada!!! i was so excited to be in a bridal shop that was modest! there was not one immodest dress there! Defiantly wont find that in Nebraksa. I'm actually gonna wear it to church the day after prom :)
oh my goodness. . .I was a master t.p.er. My mom loved to drive us. It was no wonder that our house always got t.p.'d too. My mom would look out the window and say "who loves you today?"
I actually like the spring daylight savings time change. . .(minus those first few weeks of adjustment), I love those nights of summer when it's light until 9.
I was wondering that same thing yesterday (about the time change). I really do hate the "Spring Forward" part of it, although it is nice for it to be light longer.
