This last trip I took to Salt Lake was quite eventful. I had a little bit of fun and alot of work/learning to do. I went there for a Commercial Real Estate class. Now I know all about Net Present Value and Analyzing Cash Flows, DPVs, NOIs, Cap Rates, you know... stuff like that. I know, my brain really hurt too. We had a final on the last day and hopefully I passed. I'm pretty sure I did. It has been a really long time since I have taken a trip by myself and I learned quite a bit. Here are my notes:
- Casey always drives... especially when we are on trips. I never knew how much I appreciated him letting me relax in the passenger seat and take in the views.
- I've never felt like such an unappreciated pregnant woman. EVERYONE is pregnant in Utah!! Atleast in Nebraska, I get a little special treatment.
- People that have money don't always look like it. One of the guys in my class invented the Big Gulp machine and I seriously would have thought he was a farmer by the fact that he wore the same flannel shirt everyday.
- The memory loss due to pregnancy is very real. I left class one day with my gazillion page notebook in hand and by the time I got to where I was staying, I had misplaced it. Where did it go? Thankfully, someone found it in the bathroom.
- I love Utah road ways!! Why can't Lincoln get a clue? And as much as I hate Utah drivers, I do love the fact that they drive fast.
- I love Ikea. I love Ikea. I love Ikea.
- I love being home and having everything I love around me... Casey and Jonzy.

I've heard rumors of an Ikea coming to kansas city! Wouldn't that be great?!
Being a native Utahn, I must admit I agree... Utah roads are awesome, but the drivers suck. We became a big Ikea fan when we lived in LA but the furniture doesn't hold up very long and it's super cheap quality... although the accessories are great.
Sounds like you had a fun trip:)
