A Fun 4th

FYI.... the 4th of July is awesome in Waverly! It is a hidden jewel in Nebraska! No joke.

This year, they started off the morning with a pancake feed. Then there was a kid's parade. At 11:00 there was the regular parade (which was actually pretty good and they threw tons of candy. Can you say BONUS?) Then there was an ice cream social at the church in town. They were also serving lunch. ANOTHER BONUS!! Then at dusk, there was a great fireworks show (it beats Holmes Lake by far) that we watched from our back yard. YET ANOTHER BONUS! I would highly recommend it for next year. You can come on over next year as long as I can borrow your kids for the parade.... they always get the most candy thrown at them!!
